Congrats

I believe that was a very good concert this past evening, next years should be better. And congrats to everyone who worked hard to make all the others laugh for once. That's all I got to say about that.

This is early...

Couldn't fall back asleep so decided to blog about my lesson last week, which I should have done last week. Me and Josh covered the basics of my Rochut and Kopprasch and my solo sounded way better than it has over the past month so hopefully that will be ready when I perform it on the 21st. Getting better at being able to recognize Time Signatures, just got to actually study those a little bit more. That's all I got

So not much to chat about this week, same old same old. But hey the recital did well today enjoyed the work people put into each of their own pieces. Lesson tomorrow, hopefully will get a practice in before hand, tired as hell....

Have mercy....

Been having an urge to listen to some ZZ Top this week, as any good american should, and today I just couldn't help the feeling inside. When it comes to a good ole' american band that is good to listen to and relax it's ZZ Top, they are what everyone should listen to now and again. They aren't too old to rock and I know enjoy I could party every once in a while. So take it from them, you're never to old to rock or to have a good time.

I hate to be the one who pointed out the weather we are currently having, but hey we knew it couldn't last long. Anyways I hope some people are enjoying the half day off of school, it's good to have a day off, to sleep, and practice of course....
Any who I believe that we need to have a good awesome practice on Monday for Jazz Band and kicking practice on Tuesday for Symphonic Band. Peace.

Awesome sauce

So my lesson went quite well today, despite the fact that my mouth seemed really dry, and my tonging wasn't on the ball. But hey can't complain about a good lesson, it's the reason I enjoy them, I always get something out of them. Like when Josh once again had to teach me how to read a Time signature, and yes I can't read the complicated ones, but I'm getting better at it. Just repetition is all I need. Then later we had a good convo about different things about college, although I kinda dug into Toad's lesson time, sorry bout that. Anyways good weather so far, hopefully we don't get that freakin' snow.

Spring ahead, to lose some sleep...

So I just remembered this weekend is the annual, lose an hour of sleep on Sunday. For all those who haven't paid attention in the past and thought this was a myth, well now is time to set aside those delusional fantasies of getting that extra hour of sleep and be ready to lose one! Let's see I need some music oriented stuff in this one... how about... Ringo Starr!

Radio

The radio has no long the needs to be called, the Radio. It doesn't play music, except for like a sound byte of different songs, it just does the stupid commercials! What happened to listening to the radio for music? It seems like someone needs to remind those at the radio stations why the radio exists. Yeah we have the XM radio and all that but that is just another way of getting people to "buy" the radio. It's like the MTV without the actual music. I don't know it just seems that we need to get rid of the radio if all they do is play 2 or 3 songs in a row and then 30 commercials. It isn't radio.

Ah...

Only a couple more days of our break is left, and of course this one is ending bitter sweet. We are getting snow, and more of it, for some ungodly reason. Hopefully this doesn't put a damper on the ending to some spring breaks, but remember it's time to really hit the mouthpieces come monday! Hope everyone gets home safe!

I think everybody can agree with me when I say: IT'S TIME FOR A BREAK!!! Now obviously I don't mean from practicing, cuz really who needs that? But anyways this week needs to be done! I am not in the mind set of playing well when I know that my break is so close! And I probably made Josh mad in my lesson because I wasn't focusing as well as I should have, plus I've not gotten much sleep, that probably constituted my bad playing too. But yeah it's time for a break, we all need one! Keep practicing, keep real.
